Jacksonville Maritime Museum Jacksonville Jacksonville Maritime Museum JACKSONVILLE Established in 1985 as a non-profit organization (501-C-3) and maintained on a cash basis, partially funded by Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville, memberships and donations, and operated by volunteers. We are on the South-bank of the St. Johns River in an ideal location The Plan is to have a waterfront location of approximately 11,000 sq. ft. with dockage to accommodate visiting vessels. Jacksonville's extensive maritime history covers the French landing at Ft. Caroline to our current Naval installations. There is NO ADMISSION CHARGE and we operate seven (7) days a week. Both school children and Senior Citizen groups as well as tourists from every state in the U. S. and many foreign countries visit the museum. The Jacksonville Maritime Museum Society, Inc., an educational informative community service, is now asking for your contribution and hope that you will visit our museum.
